GREATER SACAMENTO AREA MIDDLE SCHOOL WRESTLING
Hope everyone is having a great spring, wanted to catch everyone up on next years plans.
1)January 1st is the first Saturday of the year, not sure if anyone is planning a Trny or not. I know several teams do want to wrestle that day.
2) Please send Pete your proposed Trny flyers asap, so he can post and the trny directors may adjust their dates if necessary.
3) It has been discussed and we will discuss at our fall meeting: weighting in (must be done in a singlet).
4) Some Trny's will be going to a Varsity only format.
5) With the continuing quality and numbers at the county/area trny's and the poor participation at Regionals, (65) wrestlers did not show out of a possible (336). We will be changing next years format; County/Area Trny and (3)? will qualify for TOC from these trny's. The Regional Trny will go back to the "Kerr Invitational" and be a open varsity only tournament, with (5)? qualifying for TOC's. These Trny's will be on the same weekends as before.
6) We will need every one to send us the number of wrestlers on this past years team and the number of TOC qualifiers, so we can look at adjusting each tournament.
